Memorial Weekend

I have a ton of pictures and videos to post from our weekend! We headed up to Indian River to spend the weekend with Jonathan's family. The weather was gorgeous and we had a wonderful time. :)

"Brrr, that water is cold!!"

Luke loved the hot tub!
"And that, son, is how you play in the sandbox."

Please don't think we're terrible parents for this! It was just too funny not to get on video. :)

Luke ate like crazy this weekend!! I guess he prefers his grandma's cooking to mine. :) His cousin Julia, however, is the complete opposite. She does not eat much (she just turned one and weighs in at a whopping 14 pounds!). This was a typical picture of the two at mealtime:

And yes, they started eating at the same time!

"Hey Julia, you gonna finish that? I'm starvin' over here!"

What can I say? The boy loves to eat...

Luke and Mommy enjoying the beautiful sunshine.

Luke's latest thing has been saying "uh-oh!". It's so cute!! It does sound more like "uh-uh", but we know what he means! (This video was taken this morning around 6:30am on our drive back home. Luke should've been sleeping, but he had other plans. haha)

Just For Fun

Here are just some fun pics from last week I thought I'd post. :)
Nap time!

We got Luke a new car seat and he has loved playing with the box it came in!

Hanging Out In the Hammock

My sister brought us back a hammock from her mission trip to Brazil and we finally got it put up yesterday. I'm not sure that Luke is a big fan of it yet but Jonathan and I sure love it!

I think we have the cutest dog in the world!!

Jonathan's actually in there...somewhere...

Thanks for the hammock, Emily!! We love it! Jonathan already has taken a nap in it and he wanted to sleep there last night, too. haha

Our Day

We had a beautiful day here today and decided to spend it outdoors! We packed a picnic and headed to Brewer Park for some frisbee golf. We hit a couple garage sales on the way home, then spent a good part of our evening outside as well. It was a great day! Luke is feeling much better, thankfully, after discovering yesterday that he has a double ear infection--poor guy! That really explains his crankiness this past week! :)

Jonathan preparing to throw his frisbee into the tree (he really did, the frisbee just fell out before I could get a picture!). :)

He adores this dog!! I think the feeling is mutual...

"Move over Peyton, I wanna see too!"

I threw them all in baby jail so I could get some peace and quiet. ;)

I don't think Luke likes his baby jail.

Quite the bargain for $4! (the gate, not Luke)

Luke and Mommy

Luke loves to give kisses now...they're a bit slobbery, but so sweet!!

Daddy's Little Helper

Jonathan worked from home yesterday morning and Luke decided he'd helped him out a little.

"Not now mom, I've got a stack of paperwork and an important phone call to make!"

Luke likes to dial the numbers for Jonathan. Such a big helper! :)

Happy Mother's Day!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday. Luke got me beautiful flowers and the sweetest card (with a little help from his daddy of course). It was so nice not to have to change any poopy diapers for a day. Thanks Jonathan!

Get Me Outta Here!

I went to get Luke up from his nap today and this is what I found: Someone's learned how to pull themselves up in the crib now. :)

Tulip Time!

We headed over to Holland today for the annual Tulip Festival parade. It was a beautiful day and Luke did great! He was exhausted by the end of the day, though. He refused to nap in his stroller for fear of missing something. :)

Relaxing with Dad before the parade.

The Holland High School band...yes those are real wooden shoes, and yes they march the entire 2.4 mile parade in them!

Luke loved all the music and new sights and sounds!

Real Klompen Dancers!

Lukie thought he'd give this klompen dancing a try. He's really good--it's in his blood after all! :)

Don't touch the tulips, Luke! We can't afford the $50 fine for picking one!

Just like a little bird...

Nothing like a little ice cream to end the day.

Luke's Ten Month Pictures

Another month has flown by and Luke is now just two months away from his first birthday!! He is getting so big. He loves to play, eat, and is quite the chatterbox. He has his seventh tooth coming in now, too! Here are his ten month pictures...

"Seriously, mom...another picture?"

"But I'm so tired!"

"Okay, I'll smile for you!"
