Jonathan's Painting Job

While Luke and I were away this weekend, Jonathan took on the task of painting nearly our entire upstairs (kitchen, dining area, living room, etc.). He did a great job! Thanks hon!!

On the Move

Here is some new video of Luke crawling. He's starting to use his legs more, which means he's getting harder to catch! :)

Happy Easter

We spent Easter weekend down in Indiana with my family and had a great time! It was a wonderful celebration of Christ's resurrection. And also my mom's last chemo!! In all these pictures, I don't think Luke is really smiling in any of them. I promise he had fun, though! :)

Luke in his Easter outfit with his first Easter basket! He looked so adorable on Sunday, I thought I'd melt!!

Family pic :)

Luke and Auntie Em after the service.

Check out those bottom teeth!

Jacob wishes he looked as cool in that hat as Luke.
Luke was fascinated by the clock! Napping with Auntie Em = a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
Luke was so glad to see Grandma and Grandpa Moore this weekend.

Praise the Lord!!

My mom is now done with her chemo treatments!! After being delayed several weeks due to her counts being low, she finally was able to get that last treatment completed today! Thanks to everyone who has been praying for my mom. God has been so good through all of this. Mom responded well to the treatment overall and didn't even lose her hair. I know that the journey isn't completely over yet, but what a relief to have this part done with. :)

Reinventing the Exersaucer

Luke has found a new way to play with his exersaucer. All we have to do is throw a ball in the bottom and he goes in after it! It's great fun until he realizes that he's stuck in the bottom of his exersaucer and can't find a way out. :)

Just had to include this last picture of Peyton finding a unique way to clean out Jonathan's ice cream mug.

Think Spring!

We had a gorgeous sunny day here, so we decided to get the bikes out and bike around our subdivision. Luke seemed to enjoy the ride! :)

Bike rides put him right to sleep!

Noodle Nose

Last night for dinner Lukie had some plain spaghetti noodles. No big deal, right? Well this morning when he woke up, I noticed something odd up his nose. Yep, it was a noodle coming out. So I proceeded to spend all morning and a good chunk of the afternoon trying to get this noodle out of my son's nose. That's a very difficult task when the noodle is stuck in a squirmy, fidgety eight month old who has serious issues with people touching his face. And don't even go near him with the nose sucker!
Finally, after lots of tries, and with the help of good ole gravity, that noodle came sliding on out. As you can see, it was pretty good sized, too! Now I know that the nose, mouth, and throat area are all connected, but seriously...how does a noodle chill out in a kid's nose overnight??
Needless to say, we were all very thankful when that noodle was finally out! :)

Luke's Eight Month Pictures

It's hard to believe our little boy turned eight months old yesterday!

Here are just some candid shots I took of Luke.

He was actually under the blankets when I put him down for his nap! Somehow he keeps getting out from under them without messing them up?!

A Visit with Friends

This past weekend our good friends Chris and Chris came to visit us, along with their adorable little girl, Linnea. It was so fun to just hang out, catch up, and have fun again. We made a trip to the Grand Rapids Children's Museum on Saturday. It was Luke's first trip to a museum...he seemed to enjoy it, even if he didn't always know what was going on. :)

Luke and Linnea hanging out.

Jonathan making some killer bubbles at the museum. I think he had the most fun here! ;)

Having fun riding a ladybug.

Going fishing with daddy.
Hanging out with mommy.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall...

Luke's favorite thing at the museum were all the mirrors. He was fascinated with them! It made for some cute pictures, that's for sure! :)

What's better than one Luke?? Dozens of Lukes!!

What's better than one Amanda? Well...maybe not...

Looking in the mirror that's supposed to make you look tall and skinny...kinda hard when you're only 2 ft. tall. :)
"Who's that cute baby?? Oh, it's me!"

Look What I Can Do!

Luke had a big day today! He started doing this thing when he eats...I don't know how to describe it but it's hilarious! See for yourself...
By the way, the tears you may see are because I ran downstairs to get the camera and stopped feeding him. Oh the inhumanity! :)

"I love green beans!"

Luke also stood up today on his own! Well, we kind of helped him get to the standing position, but he was able to support himself on the chair pretty well!

Here is Luke with his apple juice. The reason Peyton is giving me a dirty look is because Luke is in her spot on the couch. She was not in the mood to share.
And last but not least, here is some video of Luke playing with Peyton. Jonathan came up with this "game" and Luke absolutely loves it!! It's their favorite "Daddy just got home from work" game. :)

Army Crawling!

Luke decided today he's tired of all the rolling and has moved on to the army crawl! He's getting so big, so fast!!

A Weekend Up North

We headed up north this past weekend for a relaxing time at Jonathan's parents' place in Indian River. My cousins came up, too, and they, along with Jonathan, did some skiing. On Friday, Luke and I went snowshoeing for the first time! It was a beautiful day and it felt great to get outside. Jonathan and his dad, meanwhile, went out on the frozen lake and played. Jonathan had his dad pull him on skis with the snowmobile.

Snowshoeing is hard work!

I think that's a smile under that scarf! :)

Jonathan and his dad out on the lake trying to figure out if being pulled on skis is really that safe.

Here's some video of Jonathan trying to build a snowman. It wasn't as easy as he originally thought it'd be...
