Luke had lots of cousins willing to help him open presents! I think you can barely see his leg in this picture...he is there, I promise! :)

Jonathan's sister brought this scooter over since her kids are done with it now. Luke seems to think he's old enough now to ride it. This was his favorite thing to play with.

Checking out his new see-n-say from Grandma and Grandpa Moore.

Opening some presents the night my family arrived. It was a little less chaotic then. :)

Fun Pictures

Here are just some random pictures from our weekend you may enjoy. :)

I celebrated my 27th birthday last Thursday! (yikes!)

Luke got to ride the penny pony at Meijer for the first time!

This was his reaction when the ride was over and he had to get off.

Grandpa and Peyton had a busy weekend and needed a little cat nap.

Uncle Jacob did Luke's hair for church on Sunday.

Holland State Park

On Friday, we all headed over to Holland State Park to enjoy a day at the beach. It was a little windy, but still beautiful and tons of fun! :)

Luke and Uncle Jacob hanging out on the beach.

Luke and Grandpa had tons of fun!

Jonathan was sad when it was time to leave.

Luke and the Moores

Luke was sad to see my family go. I think he'd gotten used to being waited on hand and foot and played with constantly! ;)

Luke's One Year Pictures!

Luke went to the doctor last week for his 12 month check-up. Here are the stats:
20 lbs. 7.5 oz. (between the 10th and 25th percentile)
29 1/2 inches long (50th percentile)
He had to get three shots :( but is healthy and growing just perfectly! He goes back in three months for his 15 month check-up.

Luke is One Year Old!!!

I cannot believe my little baby is one already! Where has the time gone?? It seems like just yesterday we were welcoming him into our lives. I was not able to get his twelve month pictures done today due to being c-r-a-z-y busy, but I will do my best to get them done tomorrow.

Happy 4th of July!!

We were fortunate enough to take another week long vacation this time up to Indian River where we stayed at my in-laws' cottage. We had tons of fun hanging out with Jonathan's family and enjoying the perfect weather. :)

Once the fireworks started, Luke layed down like this and covered his ears--it was so cute!

About 30 seconds after this picture was taken, Luke was sound asleep!! He slept through the loudest fireworks and didn't move a muscle. At least Jonathan and I enjoyed the show!

Did Luke Have Fun?

I think the answer is YES!!! :)

A Day at the Beach

We spent a day at Sturgeon Bay kayaking and swimming. Grandma had to be put in baby jail, too. :)

"Let us out of here!"
On the way home, Jonathan played this game with Luke, which he thought was absolutely hilarious. It was so adorable! That boy adores his daddy.

Soo Locks

We went up to Sault Ste. Marie and got to see the Soo Locks. It was really cool--pretty amazing stuff.

While we were there, we got to see a 1004 ft. freighter go through.

There were some geese nearby that Luke was so excited about. He kept saying, "quack quack". Too cute.

We ate lunch at a hole-in-the-wall restaurant called Frank's Place. Jonathan got to try his first pasty (rhymes with nasty and tastes that way too, in my opinion). haha They are the main thing to eat in the U.P.

Boating

We were blessed with some gorgeous weather and got to enjoy boat rides, the sand bar, and lots of sunshine!

"You mean I have to wear this thing for the whole boat ride??"
Luke and Daddy relaxing at the sand bar.
"This is the life..."
Luke trying out Uncle Andy's jet ski.
All that boating is bound to wear a kid out...Luke actually fell asleep on the boat ride to the sand bar and needed a little cat nap in the cuddy before swimming. :)

Cousins, Cousins Everywhere!

Luke had a great time playing with his cousins. It was absolute chaos at times--and three of his cousins weren't even there!!

Luke and Julia were surrounded by toys, but opted for this super fun box to play with instead! :)

These two are becoming best friends.

Grandma and Grandpa with four out of nine grandkids.

This was a typical scene of our past week. Grandma actually watched all six while we went golfing!
