Addison went in yesterday for her two month check-up. She's not quite two months yet, but it was scheduled early. She had to get three shots :( but she did so well! She screamed her head off of course, but it didn't take her long to calm down. And she wasn't even that fussy the rest of the day. She just needed a little tlc, which I certainly didn't mind giving her! :) She weighed 9 lbs. 13.5 ounces and was just over 22 inches long. This is just about exactly what Luke's size was at one month! She's around the 25th percentile for both categories and her doctor wants me to bring her back in for a weight check in one month. Hopefully she keeps growing okay--she certainly seems to be eating fine. And I know things are coming out okay! ;) The doctor said she looks great and is doing well with her head control. She's eating every three hours and is still having her long spell at night. Last night I fed her around 10:30 and she didn't get up to eat again until 6:30 this morning! Yea Addie!! She is such a blessing to us and we absolutely adore our little princess!
Last weekend Luke's cousin Caleb celebrated his 6th birthday at Chuck E. Cheese. It was Luke's first time in well over a year, so it was kind of like his first "real" time, seeing as how he couldn't even walk last time he was there! :) Some things he loved, other things he wasn't a fan of. We couldn't hardly pull him away from this train. It took nearly the whole time we were there to convince him to use his tokens for something else!
Daddy finally got him to give this game a try. He loved it!
Chuck E., however, was not at the top of Luke's list of enjoyable things.

How many kids can you fit in a booth? Well, we had 10. :)
Here's some video of Luke and the train so you can see for yourself how much he loved it!
A couple weekends ago, we headed downtown to enjoy the Celebration on the Grand. It's a festival that ends with an amazing fireworks display. We walked around for a while, then found some great seats on the bridge to watch the fireworks! Luke was really having a great time!
At least until the fireworks started! We thought they were amazing...one of the best finales we've ever seen!
This is what Addie thought of them:
And this is what Lukie thought of them:
The poor kid was absolutely terrified! Anytime Jonathan would move his arms away from Luke, he would pull them back around him and put Jonathan's hand over his eyes. It was too cute! But afterwards, all the way home he just kept going on and on about the fireworks in the sky! He said they were scary and he covered his eyes, but he also said he liked them. Too funny...
Here are some pictures from our recent trip to the county fair. Luke was not real thrilled about things at first, but as you can see, he eventually warmed up to it all and enjoyed himself! :)
This is what Luke thought of the cows and pigs.
By the time we hit the sheep, things were a little less scary.
The bunnies were a huge hit!
Almost all the cousins got to go!
Most of them don't look like it, but they are having fun! :)
Here's what Addie thought of her first trip to the fair:
Luke loved this caboose!!
Off to explore more things with Grandma and cousin Julia.
Isn't it great having hand-me-downs?? My sister-in-law passed down the adorable bedding for Addie, which I love. We bought a gender neutral set, but it's so much more fun having this girly set for Addie!! And Luke got this awesome horse from his cousins who are too big to play with it anymore. He loves it!!!
We had a wonderful long labor day weekend that we were able to enjoy. Jonathan had Friday and Monday off and then decided to take Tuesday off as well, so we had quite the extended weekend up at his parents' place in Indian River! It was a great weekend full of boating, swimming, relaxing, and lots of eating! :)
Jonathan teaching Luke how to squirt the boats going by!
Playing in the sand box with cousins.
Family photo time on the boat!
Addison took a little snooze in the cuddy while we swam. Check out that cute smile!
All that boating wears a boy out!
Having fun at the sand bar.
Addie enjoying her first boat ride!
He did not want this life jacket on!
Grabbing some lunch with cousin Julia.
Sweet little Addie on her first Labor Day. I took some video of Luke playing with these boats. He cracks me up--I love listening to him play!
