FLORIDA Part 1

Here is the first chunk of pictures from our vacation to Florida! It was a great time and I'm so glad we were there last week and not this week, when it's hovering in the 30s and 40s! We had a couple warm days and I got to spend New Year's Eve in capris and a short-sleeve top, so I was happy! :) We are so thankful to my parents for taking us--God really blessed us with this opportunity. Maybe this will become a new annual tradition?? haha
The kids at the Florida Welcome Center.

We left Saturday night around 8:30 and drove straight through. The kids did great and slept all night! We stopped for breakfast outside Atlanta around 6am and Luke wouldn't go back to sleep after that. Once we got to Orlando, though, our GPS took us to the wrong place (something about our resort being in a new zip code??) and it took a couple hours to finally figure out where we needed to be. Luke was so tired of being in the car and about 10 minutes before we finally pulled into the resort, this is what he looked like:

Addison was also tired of being in the car! My sister, bless her heart, rode in the back with the kids and entertained them. While trying to find the resort, Emily fed Addie some sweet potatoes so she'd settle down. This is what she looked like after eating in the car with no bib:

Our first day there we headed to Universal Studios' Island of Adventures. It was crazy busy!! The kids' section is all Dr. Seuss and my mom and I took the kids on the Caro-Suess-sel. It was so cute!

Luke wasn't too sure at first, but he warmed up to it after a bit! :)

Luke got to meet Spiderman!! He gave him a high five and Spiderman even trash talked the Cubs (both Luke and Jacob are wearing Cubs hats if you can't tell). Luke still talks about how he got to give Spiderman a high five!

Around 6 or 7 Monday evening, we were all worn out from spending the day at the park with about a million other people standing in line and decided to go to Universal's City Walk and enjoy dinner at the NBA Cafe.

The picture doesn't do it justice, but this is Universal at night on the way back to our car:

Moore Christmas

We headed down to Indiana for Christmas with my family. We spent just over 48 hours in Indiana before we all left for FLORIDA!!! Pictures of our awesome trip to follow...

Addison and her Great-Grandma Clara.

Addison seems a little overwhelmed! She got a gloworm AND a seahorse that also lights up and plays music.

Noah's Ark! Yea!!

Emily's boyfriend (Aaron Moses, who by the way, is a great musician--check out his stuff on itunes!) got Luke this huge dog named Moses! Luke loves him!!

Emily did Addie's hair in pigtails. It was sooo cute!!

Cutest little girl!!

She's pretty fond of her Uncle Jacob.

My sister is such a great aunt! Two poopy diapers and she doesn't flinch! haha

Our Christmas

Christmas Eve we got up and had our own family time before heading to see my family in Indiana.
It was so great to be able to spend this time with our kids!

Luke's big present: the Little People airport. He loves it!

Athearn Christmas

Here are some pictures from our Christmas with Jonathan's family. It was originally scheduled for Christmas Eve but they were predicting a bad ice storm to come in that night and we were headed to Indiana then. Jonathan's family graciously moved it to the 23rd so we could head out before the storm arrived. I'm so grateful for wonderful in-laws! :)

Checking out his new present...

Addie loves her new book!
